Facility Management and Development

Since 2017, we've invested over $117M to partner with local, state and federal governments on nearly 3,000 venue improvements, making grassroots facilities more welcoming, inclusive & gender friendly.

Funding

AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL FACILITIES FUND

To assist with projects coming to life, the AFL has created the Australian Football Facilities Fund 'AFFF'. On average, our AFFF partners own $50M worth of community football facility projects benefitting more than 100 clubs each year.

The AFFF aims to support the provision of well positioned, welcoming, accessible, fit for purpose football facilities that support our growing game’s strategic priorities.

Breaking New Ground

Our growth shows we need access to one new field every week for the next five years to meet participation demands.

As we look Towards 2030, the AFL wants to work with forward thinking school leaders, Education Departments or other landowners who want to help their communities deliver better sporting facilities and create more opportunities for communities to be healthy and active.

If you would like to discuss an innovative idea or partnership opportunity at your site please contact bnground@afl.com.au.

Community Relief Fund

The AFL Community Relief Fund was established to support local communities impacted by natural disasters to repair and rebuild their football clubs, including helping footballing families in these impacted communities.

We know how much pressure natural disasters place on families and local businesses in impacted area. The AFL CRF provides funding to support a range of initiatives to help with ongoing club sustainability and remove barriers for affected communities to participate in our game.

A separate pool of funds through the CRF has been raised to support clubs and footballing families in bushfire affected areas.
