Facilities

Facilities & Infrastructure

AFL Tasmania work closely with clubs and councils to support the needs of football for suitable, well positioned, welcoming, accessible and fit for purpose facilities right across Tasmania.

Our strategic objective is to increase the capacity and standard of venues and facilities and to develop and invest in facilities to support and stimulate participation growth. AFL Tasmania currently has a strong focus on supporting facility upgrades to accommodate the rapid increase in female participation.

AFL Tasmania want to support clubs, councils and land owners in improving and developing football related facilities and infrastructure for the growth of the game.

If you are a club or land owner and require assistance or information, please reach out. This includes any help we can provide in the preparation of applications for grants for funding.

Tasmanian Community Football Facilities Fund

Following the announcement of a bold ambition to double participation by 2028, AFL Tasmania has announced a $1.5 million commitment to Tasmanian community football facilities, launching the Tasmanian Community Football Facilities Fund (TCFFF). Projects are assessed in-line with clear assessment criteria relating to the aims, the impact and value for football and potential participation outcomes.
