Key Grant Bodies
The Victorian State government’s Office for Women in Sport and Recreation provide a range of grants and programs to support women and girls at all levels in sport and recreation in Victoria.
Acts on behalf of the Australian Government to play a central leadership role in the development and operation of the Australian sports system, administering and funding innovative sport programs and providing leadership, coordination and support for the sport sector.
The Victorian State government provides a range of grants and funding opportunities to increase participation opportunities and facility development.
A pioneer in health promotion, VicHealth work to discover, implement and share solutions to the health problems facing Victorians. Funding grants become active at various times throughout the year with general and specific eligibility criteria.
Key Existing Grants
The Australian Football Facilities Fund has the aim of ‘supporting the provision of well positioned, welcoming, accessible, fit for purpose football facilities that support our growing game’s strategic priorities’ and have strong alignment with AFL Victoria’s Football Facilities Development Strategy.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support community sport and recreation clubs. The grants aim to increase participation and enhance gender equality in sport and active recreation.
The Country Football and Netball Program provides funding to assist country football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations to upgrade and develop facilities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan locations.
The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each per round.
Local Sports Infrastructure Fund provides grants for planning, building new, and improving existing facilities where communities conduct, organise and participate in sport and recreation.
The Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund is a competitive Victorian Government investment program, open to Victorian rural and regional Local Government Authorities and Alpine Resorts Victoria.
Local sports clubs across Victoria can apply for up to $4,000 to support the club with a wide variety of aspects (on-field uniforms / equipment, volunteer support, governance, accessibility etc).
Applicants can register projects to collect donations using the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) tax deductible status and receive consideration for discretionary grants from the ASF.
Earn up to $10k for your club by keeping your community safe with TAC Club Rewards. By actively spreading road safety messages around your local footy club and together you can participate in the mission to eliminate deaths and serious injuries. It takes all of this to make this happen, so join us and get your club involved!
Metropolitan & Regional clubs can apply for up to up to $20,000 (most items up to $2k) for a wide variety of items.
The WorkSafe Club Safety Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to Victorian country football/netball clubs to improve the safety of their grounds, providing added safety for players, spectators and those involved with the club.
Applications for 2025 will open in the coming months.
